October Trip 2014

The time is soon approaching when thirteen of us will be leaving on our trip to Tirana, Albania. We are all extremely excited to see what God will do through us, and in us within our 11 day journey.

Although, some of us are not early birds, we will have to grow accustomed to an early-to-rise routine beginning October twenty-second. We will be meeting at our church building at 3:00 in the morning on Wednesday to get to our flight on time, which will be departing out of LAX at 6:45a.m. . Five hours later we will be landing in NewYork at the JFK airport. From NewYork we will fly another eight hours until we reach Rome. Our lay-over in Rome will only be one hour long so we may be seen running through the airport, in order to reach our boarding area to get to our final destination, Tirana! We will be landing in Albania at 10:50 in the morning Tirana time, and from there going straight to the city of Krujë. Here, we will tour the Skanderbeg Museum and gain a better understanding for the country we will be ministering to.

While we are there, we have numerous projects in which we have the blessing of taking part in. Projects such as a children's vacation Bible school, the Steven center twentieth anniversary and praying over the city. We have crafts, games and even a few Bible story skits to bless the children with. The men and women both have practiced two skits each. The ladies will be performing "Jonah and the Whale" and "Noah's Ark" while the guys will be doing "Daniel and the Lions Den" and "David and Goliath." Here is a small sneak peek of one of our skits.

Hopefully we are able to make the children in Tirana laugh and learn more about God's word!

Make sure to stay tuned into the blog these coming two weeks as we will be updating it while we are there. This way everyone can keep up to date with the awesome things The Lord will be doing.
If you would like to get even more involved, this Sunday the whole team will be attending House of Prayer here at Wildwood Calvary Chapel at 6:00pm to receive prayer from the body of Christ as we venture out in faith. We all love knowing we are backed by our brothers and sisters in Christ through their prayers. Your thoughts are most assuredly appreciated!
